1970 Led Zeppelin performed a concert in Copenhagen under the alias NOBS to avoid legal action from Eva Von Zeppelin, a member of the airship family.

General Events
1988 Two runways at Heathrow Airport were closed after a British Airways Boeing 747 lost part of a wing flap as it made an emergency landing.
1988 Much of Scotland was under twelve inches of snow as winter came late to the country, with further blizzards expected to sweep much of Britain.
1989 Doctors at the St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London announced a new way of treating incurable brain tumour patients. They had developed a technique of implanting radioactive sources into the brain tumours exposing only the cancerous cells to the maximum levels of radiation.
1990 Following the opening of the Berlin Wall it was claimed that a large number of soldiers had deserted the East German Army cutting the once 170,000 strong force by over a half.
1991 In the Gulf crisis, President Bush announced that the war to liberate Kuwait from Iraqi domination had been won and that the fighting in the Middle East was to stop. Iraqi military commanders were now to meet their allied counterparts to arrange the military aspects of the cease-fire.
1995 A 12 year scheme to plant a million trees in Northern Ireland was completed when the Northern Ireland Secretary, Sir Patrick Mayhew, planted the final one at Belfast Airport.
