Our first Onthisday newsletter was despatched to 12 people on 21st February 2003. People love interesting facts and the distribution base grew and grew. With our focus on BinB and resources at full capacity we chose to put energy into a website for Onthisday.
Using our BinB technology we have started laying some foundations, are adding current days each month and have come up with a logical way to develop the web space.
It would be great to have a website that would allow easy access to daily facts… it would be even better if this website had 100,000 facts!
100,000 facts works out at approximately 275 per day… if we currently have say 30 facts then we have done 10% of the work… we now need those who are interested to join in to submit their facts for each day.
By way of a thank you we will publish your fact and a link to more information, your name and a link to a website of your choosing.
This works on many different levels:
• Builds a database of knowledge for interested parties
• Generates publicity for those involved
• It’s inclusive, anyone can volunteer information
• Creates a central point for like minded people
• Other, random connections will be made by those that join in
• Fun for all the family
With nothing to loose and everything to gain, let’s put the offer out there and see what happens…
